On staff with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment from 1987 to 1996, Jennifer was responsible for developing separation and mass spectrometric methods for the detection and analysis of environmentally significant compounds in all types of environmental matrices, under EPA regulations. From 1996 to 1999 she worked for Purdue Pharma and Boehringer Ingelheim, responsible for developing mass spectrometric methods for the analysis of new drug candidates in biological matrices under FDA's GLP regulations. As an auditor, working with private laboratories within the USA and Canada she has conducted system, product and analytical testing performance audits, as well as coordinated routine and research sample analysis under GLP and cGMP regulations.

Over her academic and working career, Jennifer has traveled throughout Canada, USA, Europe, Australia and Asia, working with University, Government and private laboratories. She has employed HRGC/MS and HPLC/MS techniques on quadrupoles, sectors and ion trap mass spectrometers for positive and negative ion detection for specific compounds in both environmental and biological matrices. She is a certified quality auditor and a certified ISO 9000 lead auditor.

Jennifer is a co-owner of the independent consulting business and laboratory, "LCMS Limited", situated in Durham, NC, USA, where she is involved in solving environmental and pharmaceutical problems using various chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques under EPA/GLP guidelines.
